Boiler Room Berlin X Groove Takeover or better called the love Edition. 8 Pm Wedding very cold outside but we’re on time. Brought our jackets tot he wardrobe and went downstairs to the place where the next hours promised to be very good ones. As i walk down the stairs i thought oh my god if all other tracks are only half that good. The well known DJ Tdropped “Rain on the Circus” from Seuil and on a serious Soundsystem it makes even more sense than at home. His set walked trough jackin house and touched some nice acid sounds, but not to heavy. It only did 20 Minutes and the crowd had a good groove. After DJ TJacob Korn took the stage to perform his actual live set. After his new album he travells a lot to bring the Uncanny Valley sound to the world. And he also brought it to the Boiler RoomBerlin. Starting but with a simple basedrum who sounded so tight that the floor couldnt stand still. He played some of the album tracks but arranged it in a new way. A mindblowing melody here a rough synthesizer there. No Question that Jacob Korn definitly earned my whole respect. Next to ÂME a short but not less well liveset than Jacobs. Ist simply amazing how good ÂME sounds. Beside the fact that it looks totally easy when Frank plays live he connects all elements so well together. The time was running and finally Sven Väth took the turntables. It seemed that many oft he visitors waited for him. It took only some minutes until he had the crowd inclusive myself under his controll. A debut for Sven Väth at the Boiler Room and it was also one of his rar Berlin appeareances. What shell i say about this set in case you have’nt seen it your first task is to look and hear the set at the Boiler Room homepage. The tempo was high and his first track definitly blowed my mind. A very wild and i believe unmixable Track but it was awesome. He kept it pumpin and heavy and leaned towards a technotic sound. One of my favourite moments was definitly „Follow The Step” (KinKRemix) Thanks to the soundsystem even if it was sometimes very near to the boarder. We don’t have to discuss his entertaining qualities - he worked the crowd. Until a small stage diving happend J. Towards the End it was a remix of Donna Summers “I Feel Love” who brought it to the point. All tracks after this where great and i sometimes whish to have a smart phone to get some track ID’s - it was too packed to get to him. Thank you Boiler Room Berlin it was an honour to became part of this nice evening.
